Networking versus Cold Calling: Benefits of Both

Networking versus Cold calling – which is the best? Which should you use?

For us, both methods have their merits and we thoroughly enjoy both networking and cold calling.

Meeting new people face to face for me is always exciting and I am constantly amazed at the range and scope of products and services on offer. Opportunities to attend a networking event are probably better than ever, with so many new groups starting up.

I always enjoy attending the Leighton Buzzard Breakfast Club.  They meet every Wednesday morning and the meeting is finished by 08:30 – a great way to start the day. The format works well with each person having the opportunity to present themselves in a one minute talk to the group. I have also picked up some really useful information from the ten minute talks given by club members.

There is a small joining fee and members pay £35 a month, which includes one of the best breakfasts you are likely to find.

Originally I came along as a guest speaker but liked the friendly business atmosphere so much I decided to join!
Even though I am no longer a member I still go back at least twice a month as a substitute for members who are unable to attend a meeting.

Look out for a future blog about our unique method of cold calling.
